Whole-Home Audio

Al Quoz, Dubai

Multi-Room Audio for Dubai Homes, Villas and Offices

A dedicated media room arranged for film and music

The kind of property this work goes into. What the system does in yours is decided at design stage, from the rooms and how you use them.

Illustrative photography

Multi-room audio turns the whole property into one quiet, capable system. Breakfast news in the kitchen, a different playlist in the majlis, silence in the study, and the same song following you from the hallway to the pool. Each room is a zone, each zone has speakers chosen for how that room is built and used, and everything answers to a keypad on the wall or the phone in your hand.

Quick answer

In brief

Multi-room audio divides a property into zones, each playing its own source at its own volume or grouped with the rest, controlled from wall keypads, touch panels or a phone. Vertex Automation plans and installs these systems for villas, apartments and offices in Dubai, using in-ceiling, in-wall, invisible plaster-finish and outdoor-rated speakers chosen room by room, with amplification kept in a ventilated rack.

How it works

Designed as one joined-up system, not a list of devices.

  1. 01

Zones, groups and the control on the wall

Vertex designs and installs whole-home audio for villas, apartments and offices across Dubai. The system is planned around zones: any room, terrace or garden area can play its own source at its own volume, or group with the rest of the house when you're entertaining. Wall keypads and touch panels give one-tap control where you stand, phones and tablets carry the full system, and per-zone volume limits keep bedrooms gentle and gardens neighbourly.

  2. 02

    Speakers chosen room by room

Speakers are chosen room by room, not by catalogue. In-ceiling and in-wall models keep floors and shelves clear. Invisible plaster-finished speakers disappear entirely for interiors where nothing may intrude. Outdoor zones use hardware specified for heat, humidity and dust, with the amplification racked indoors. The result is even, comfortable sound everywhere, not one loud corner and three dead ones.

Ceiling speakers disappear into the plasterboard. Where they sit is set out from the seating and the shape of the room, not from a symmetrical grid drawn over a plan.

A zone is chosen and set from the wall as readily as from the app, so music in one room does not depend on somebody finding a phone first.

What it gives you

What whole-home audio actually changes

Hardware is the means. These are the things you notice once the system is live.

  • 01

    Every room, its own music

Kitchen, majlis, bedrooms, study, terrace and pool each play what they like at the volume they like, independently or grouped. One tap sends the same music through the whole house for a gathering; another returns every zone to its own source. Nobody argues over one system, because every room effectively has its own.

  • 02

    Speakers you do not see

Architectural speakers sit flush in ceilings and walls behind paintable grilles, and fully invisible models are plastered into the wall itself, leaving nothing to see at all. No cabinets on shelves, no cables along skirting, no compromise asked of the interior design. The music is present; the equipment is not.

  • 03

    Control that suits the moment

A keypad by the door starts the room's usual playlist with one press, a touch panel or phone browses everything, and volume, grouping and sources are the same logic everywhere. Guests and children can be given simple control in their rooms without the ability to reprogram the house.

  • 04

    Sound that reaches the garden

Terrace, barbecue and pool areas are planned as proper zones: several discreet speakers at moderate volume for even coverage, instead of one loud box by the door. Outdoor hardware is specified for the climate, amplifiers stay indoors in a ventilated rack, and per-zone limits keep evenings comfortable for you and the neighbours.

Scope

What an audio installation covers

Set at design stage, from the property and your priorities, never from a fixed package.

  • Room-by-room zone planning and audio design
  • In-ceiling and in-wall speaker supply and installation
  • Invisible plaster-finish speakers for minimalist interiors
  • Outdoor and garden audio zones specified for the climate
  • Central amplification in a ventilated equipment rack
  • Wall keypads, touch panels and phone app control
  • Streaming service and local source integration
  • Per-zone volume limits and schedules
  • Cabling provision for future zones during any build or renovation
  • As-built documentation and ongoing support

Project detail

Audio is at its best when it belongs to the same system as everything else. A Morning scene can bring the news quietly to the kitchen as the curtains open. A single Goodnight command silences every zone in the house at once. When the video intercom rings, the music dips so you hear the gate, then returns. The cinema room remains its own high-performance zone on the same platform, so a film there and music on the terrace coexist without either being compromised. And because streaming in a dozen zones depends on the network beneath it, we design that infrastructure as part of the same project rather than hoping the router copes.

In a new build, multi-room audio is one of the cheapest good decisions available: speaker cable to every likely zone before the walls close costs little and preserves every option, so we always plan for more zones than the first phase installs. In a finished home, we are straightforward about the realities. In-ceiling speakers need a cable route, and false ceilings, service voids and existing conduits often provide one cleanly; where the fabric genuinely refuses, discreet wireless zones with local amplification carry music reliably, provided the network is designed for it. Some rooms may need a small patch and repaint after cabling, and we say so before work starts, not after. A survey settles which rooms are simple, which need thought, and which are better phased into a future renovation.

In Dubai

Multi-Room Audio in Dubai

Climate, regulation and the way this city builds all shape the specification, before any equipment is chosen.

Villas here are built from concrete and block and finished in stone, marble and glass, which is exactly why villa sound systems reward proper design. Hard rooms reflect, large open plans swallow small speakers, and a three-floor layout with a garden is as much a cabling project as a speaker project. We plan zone by zone, choosing speaker type, count and placement for each room's finishes and use, so background music stays even and clear at low volume, which is how it is actually listened to most of the time.

Outdoor living is the other half of the brief. For much of the year evenings move to the terrace and pool, so outdoor zones are planned for heat, humidity and dust, positioned out of the harshest sun where possible, and driven from amplifiers kept indoors. Offices get the same discipline in a different register: background sound for reception and workspace zones, meeting rooms kept independent. We are based in Al Quoz and install and support systems across Dubai.

Where we do this work

Multi-Room Audio projects run across Dubai, and some communities change the method enough that we keep notes on them: Jumeirah Golf Estates. The full coverage list is on areas we serve.

Questions

Multi-room audio, your questions

Yes, that is the point of the system. Every zone plays its own source at its own volume, entirely independently, and any combination of zones can be grouped in seconds, the whole ground floor for dinner, house and garden together for a party, everything back to independent afterwards. Control is wherever you are: a keypad by the door, a touch panel in the hallway, or the app on any family phone.

No. Most of our installations use in-ceiling and in-wall speakers behind low-profile grilles that are painted to match the finish, and for rooms where even a grille is unwelcome there are invisible speakers plastered into the wall with nothing to see at all. We're honest about the trade-off: fully invisible models give up some output and sparkle compared with a conventional speaker, which rarely matters in a background-music zone and does matter in a main listening room. We specify accordingly, room by room.

Very often, yes. False ceilings, service voids and existing conduit routes frequently allow speaker cable to be run with little visible disruption, and we reuse whatever the original build left us. Where a route genuinely does not exist, a discreet wireless zone with local amplification fills the gap reliably, provided the home network is up to the job. Occasionally a room needs a small chase, patch and repaint, and we'll tell you which rooms those are before you commit. The survey is what turns all of this from guesswork into a plan.

Yes, when they are specified for it. We use outdoor-rated hardware designed to tolerate sustained heat, humidity and dust, mount it with sun exposure and irrigation spray in mind, and keep the amplifiers that drive it indoors in a ventilated rack instead of a garage that bakes in August. Designed this way, garden and pool zones run season after season; what fails in Dubai is indoor equipment pressed into outdoor service, and that's the mistake the design exists to prevent.

Yes, and we design for it deliberately. The sensible approach is to plan the full property on day one, cable every likely zone if walls or ceilings are open, and install amplification and speakers in phases as you want them. Adding a planned zone later is then a small job, not a new project. Cost scales with the same factors throughout: how many zones, the grade of speakers in each, the scope of cabling, and the amplification and control behind them, so you decide the pace without redoing anything.
